2 Week Update

Paisley had her two week pediatric appointment today. She is up to 6lbs 15oz, which is great since when she went in a three days she only weighed 5lbs 14oz. Her jaundice has almost completely cleared up. Aside from that he said she looked and sounded great. She did have her follow-up PKU test today and she was a very brave girl. She only cried with the intial stick. She returns in 4-6 weeks for her two month appointment and immunizations.
Things are still going really well at home. She nurses every 2-3 hours day and night. She sleeps in a bassinet beside our bed or right in the bed with us. She is becoming more alert every day and working very hard to hold her head up.
Velvet is still adjusting well to her big sister role. She even likes to dispose of the dirty diapers. She also makes sure every one who comes over knows to wash their hands before they touch her baby sister.
